Kayla Jenkins maintains a private piano studio in Denver, NC of 30 students. She teaches students of all ages, from 5-65. She is recognized as a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in Piano by Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). She also enjoys collaborating with other local musicians, colleges, and high schools. She earned the Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Music, and a Bachelor's in Piano Pedagogy from Campbell University. Her teachers include John Salmon, Richard McKee, and Rick Setzer. Most importantly, Kayla accredits her first love of the piano to her mother, Tonya Childers, who was her very first teacher at the age of five. She currently lives in Lake Norman with her husband Chandler and Shih-Tzu Maggie.
